Mr Maheshwari serves on the board of many prestigious companies and is on the Board of Birla Institute of Management Technology (IMT), New Delhi and Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Banglore. He was also the Chairman of Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), National President of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), member of the Tandon Committee of Reserve Bank of India to frame guidelines for bank credit.
